Canadian law stipulates that, because a particular character became a wendigo of his own free will, he is culpable for crimes commited as a wendigo. Although to be fair I don't think it's ever established if Canada has wendigo-specific legislation, or more general "if you enter this altered state willingly you are culpable for actions taken while in said state" laws.
I definitely stand by my teenage taste in X-Men crushes! I still think he'd be delightful company.
It felt like a world where anything could happen, and nothing would feel out of place.
